Persephone Audio will be releasing very soon. (will let you know when it goes live… so now is a good time to talk about where you are following me)
GIVEAWAY AT THE END OF THE POST (Though please read this post because the contents are important for readers so you know how to get the most out of where you follow me and the benefits and drawbacks to each.)
Firstly, EVERY place I will do my level best to make sure I send out an update of a new release. The only trouble is that nothing is fullproof. Many of the social media sites restrict how many of your own followers even SEE it. Bookbub is the least problematic in which case you are guaranteed to hear about my new release unless the email gets caught in your spam filter. But that’s the same problem with my newsletter. But at least those are technical glitches/poor spam filtering and not so much a company actively stopping you from reaching your own damn fan base with information they opted in to hear about.
So here is what is on offer from each place you can follow me and the drawbacks of each:
Facebook: I’m not even linking to Facebook because they are censorious motherfuckers who hate romance, sex toys, female sexual pleasure and basically fun of any kind (if a woman looks like she’s enjoying a fucking KISS, FB bots will freak out and reject ads with such an image… they can be fully clothed and just embracing… WOMAN HAVING SEXUAL PLEASURE RED ALERT YOU GUYS! SHUT IT DOWN.) So yeah… but that isn’t the only problem with them. But I’m not going to ramble on about it. Suffice to say they are also seriously choking reach and I’m tired of throwing money at them to try to reach people who already opted into my content. Until I can get away from this plaform I will post Teaser Tuesday links and new release stuff here but don’t expect to see many posts because FB will decide you don’t need to know anything.
So basically… at Facebook you MIGHT get a new release update. If you are a casual reader who doesn’t really ultimately care if you hear about my new release or not, FB is fine.
Twitter: I have no particular ire against Twitter. They do also choke reach but they aren’t such draconian assholes about everything. Also there is NSFW Twitter which is always amusing. I also post new releases, Teaser Tuesday links and Blog links here. But again it’s one of those… if you actually want to hear about my stuff and not miss it, your odds are fairly slim on Twitter and FB. There are better platforms. Such as…
Bookbub At bookbub you are far more likely to hear stuff from me. You will hear when I have a featured deal there. As well as when I have a new release. I also review and recc books there. (Note I only review books I LOVED because I won’t negatively review another author. It’s shitty to do that to my peers.) Note that a review means I read it, a recc MAY mean I read it, or it may be a book of an author friend who I’m supporting and helping to promote but whose work I know and trust and think you might also enjoy.
Book and Main Bites At Book and Main you can get a weekly free teaser from me on Tuesdays called Teaser Tuesdays. I post them exclusively to this site (though I will link the post elsewhere) so if you want free teaser excerpts you need to be following me here. Teaser scenes will come from backlist, new releases, as well as possibly WIPs (works-in-progress) and deleted scenes. I may even do some short serials at some point that are free and exclusive to subscribers at B&M. That’s a possibility in the works for the future.
Goodreads I post an update when I have a new release though I don’t know how many of my followers see it. I also update what I’m reading as well as sometimes reviews like I do on BB. Also my blog filters to this site but again I’m not sure on the reliability of you seeing stuff I post here. NOTE IF YOU ARE SEEING THIS POST ON GOODREADS AND WANT TO ENTER THE GIVEAWAY YOU MUST POST AT MY ACTUAL BLOG. The way I run giveaways, (random number generator), I just can’t keep up with entries at multiple sites and places so all entries must be at the actual blog site.
Amazon if you follow me at Amazon there is literally NO guarantee you’ll hear about anything. There is no rhyme or reason to if the Amazon gods smile down upon you and deign to actually alert your followers of a new release. This one is for people who truly like to live on the edge.
My Blog (here) I’m working on getting an email subscribe link set up for the blog so it will be easier for you to follow me here if you wish but I announce new releases here, Teaser Tuesday links, Exclusive giveaways (like my Rafflecopter giveaways during release week), and other general blog posts.
My Newsletter: You can subscribe to my newsletter via the link at the top of any page on my website (including the blog) or on the popup on the main site home page. On my newsletter you will get exclusive giveaways and new release alerts. So long as you have things set up properly and make sure I don’t go to spam, this is pretty much a guarantee sure thing.
GIVEAWAY: To celebrate the release of Persephone into audio, I will be giving away 5 promo codes (free digital audio copies to the audiobook at Audible. TO ENTER… COMMENT BELOW AND TELL ME: Where do you follow me on this list of options? And do you listen to audiobooks or are you new to them? (Obviously you are at least considering them if you are signing up for the giveaway.)
NOTE: Unfortunately this giveaway is only open to the US. (unless I also can get UK promo codes but I don’t know 100% for sure yet. Still fuzzy on those details.) So if you are an international reader and enter and are one of the winners if you are not in a place where I can get you a promo code, you will be sent a free ebook copy of Persephone instead. (Also, check out the Goodreads Giveaway for Persephone Kindle Copies )
I will announce the winners here on Wednesday July 3rd.

I subscribe to your newsletter. I also just signed up to follow you on Bookbub and on your blog. I haven’t listened to audiobooks much in the past, but I want to get more into them so I don’t have to get so annoyed when things like cooking, cleaning, and errands cut into my reading time. 😅
Kitty says
oh my gods YES!!! This. I used to not get ANY fiction read. Because given what I do for a living it starts to feel like “work” And there is all this other stuff I need to do… cooking, cleaning, errands, exercise, laying in the sun (awkward to read while doing this), and audiobooks just let you do all of that so you don’t feel like “I need to be doing this other thing” but you also stop hating the tedium of those other things. I’ve read 11 books with my ears since mid May.
Cécile says
Let me see….i follow you on your newsletter, book and main, bookbub, goodreads,i also check your blog and iTunes on a regular basis.
Not on facebook or twitter, and i am also most definitely not on Amazon!
Kitty says
You are hardcore!
Christine says
I follow everywhere except for bookbub and main bites =D
Kitty says
And those are two of the best places!
Gabriela says
Congratulations on the Persephone audio release! I do like to listen to audiobooks when I can.
I’m subscribed to your newsletter and follow on Facebook.
Kitty says
Thanks Gabriela! FB is the devil but I feel better about it that you’re on the newsletter LOL I’m listening to Immortals After Dark series right now!
Ana Singleton says
Hi KItty,
I currently am subscribed and follow you on a few places goodreads, Amazon (simply because thats where i do most of my purchases, bookhub and Facebook, which i have noticed your exact finding about their complete and idiotic restrictions, like women arent allowed to enjoy themselves?? We’ll be wearing scarlet letters soon enough!! I am completely new to audiobook and although i have only listened to one or two in the past, I’ve heard so much buzz about (Purse-Phone) lol that im actually looking forward to getting the audio book!! Winner or not, i will be sure to listen to it and update my reviews, xoxoxo
Kitty says
Yay! Thank you Ana!
Nicole Soos says
I follow you on Goodreads.com. This post came up on my ‘Home’ page as an update. I have listened to Audiobooks before, but typically I just read them!
Kitty says
oh nice! Good to know that I am getting SOME traction on Goodreads visibility!
jennifer hermiz says
I follow you on fb, twitter and bookbub (well i don’t actively go to this place daily)…i get newsletters…i have you as an Amazon follow as well…I’ve never listened to audio. I have read this book and was debating not entering but this is actually a great way to see if i even could listen to a whole book!!! Mwah!! thanks!
Kitty says
Yeah audio is a format that is an “acquired taste” but once you acquire it you are addicted LOL
carissa says
Following on Facebook, Twitter, Goodreads, Bookbub, Newsletter, Amazon and Yes I listen to audiobooks, I actually prefer them more!
Kitty says
Me too! I’m an audio only girl! My first question when I see abook I like is… is it on audio yet!
bn100 says
newsletter
Kitty says
yay! your emails aren’t in spam! hehe
Marian Cuenca says
Follow you on Goodreads, Bookbub, newsletter and Amazon; it’s true Bookbub is the best option to know of new releases, and Amazon sucks, they almost never recommend anything useful. I never tried an Audiobook, I still prefer reading 😀
Love receiving your newsletters, it’s good to hear from your favorite authors.
Kitty says
Thanks Marian! I read! I read with my EARS! 😛 And yeah… I would worry about BB pulling the shady shit FB does except they seem to actually have ethics over there. So while I won’t solely depend on them I will be focusing a LOT of my energy on building that platform. (And I’m closing in on 8k followers there!)
Debra Hopkins says
I subscribe to your newsletter. I also check out your Amazon page periodically to make sure you haven’t released something I haven’t seen yet. Keep writing those censor-worthy books.
Kitty says
LOL thx!
Nancy says
I live in Canada but have audible.com & amazon.com accounts so I hope I can qualify. I prefer newsletters as they are normally more reliable but do follow on facebook, bookbub, book & main, amazon. I love audiobooks, I listen every day – while driving, knitting, watching baseball (with the sound muted) & especially when my eyes are tired from too much reading & computer work!
Kitty says
You should be able to, Nancy. As long as you have the .com account it should work. I listen every day also!
Karen Kavanagh says
Hi Kitty,
I follow you everywhere (but not in a creepy way, I promise!)
I’m pretty new to audiobooks but I’ve enjoyed what I’ve listened to so far.
Kitty says
bwahahahahaha stop following me! 😛 Kidding!
Stacy Baggett says
I follow you on all these platforms! Though BookBub and your newsletter are pretty much the only two that I know for sure won’t get hidden… As long as I check my email, which admittedly I don’t always do.
I haven’t tried out audiobooks yet, but I’d like to give them a try! Sometimes I *can’t* read because migraine aura fucks with my vision… Which sucks when I’m in the middle of a book and am dying to find out what happens next. So, maybe audiobooks would be a good alternative? Worth a shot, anyway! 🖤🖤
Kitty says
I think audiobooks would be a great option for you!
Chanda says
I subscribe to you everywhere: FB, Twitter, Goodreads, Bookbub, B&MB & Amazon because I love Kitty ♥️. I listen to audiobooks & I am a subscriber to their Romance Package. I cannot wait for Persephone’s release!!
Kitty says
Yay! Unfortunately I won’t be in the romance package. It’s not a good deal financially for most.
Millie says
I follow you on facebook of course and book and main bites and amazon I guess but of course that’s not really good for that. And I have listened to audio books since I was very young.
Kitty says
Thanks Millie! Blog, Newsletter, or Bookbub are guaranteed for finding out about things like new releases. The other stuff is very hit and miss.
Stephanie says
I follow you on Facebook, goodreads, bookbub, news letter, and I just signed up for that bite thing, but obviously as O can’t even remember what it’s called yet, I’m not use to checking it.
I like audio books, but the reader makes or breaks it for me, and I haven’t listened to any romance on it yet
Kitty says
The good thing is I will post to blog and FB and goodreads when I have a teaser for Book and Main. They have an app also that I think can go on your phone. Agreed re: narrator.
Claudia Ortega says
Stalking you everywhere (EVERYWHERE)!
Thanks for the chance to this amazing giveaway!!
Kitty says
Bwahahahahahahaha
Nancy Jones says
I love listening to audio books, I follow on facebook, goodreads, amazon, book and main bites, bookbub, blog , twitter and newsletter.
Kitty says

Whitney says
I subscribe to your blog and books and bites. I have listened to one audio book so far…and think I will continue for days I go to the gym or doing yard work!
Kitty says
nice! Yeah there are SO many ways to read and get other stuff done when you read with your ears!
Jana Leah says
I follow you on Goodreads & Bookbub & am also subscribed to your email newsletter. I love audiobooks. There is no way I’d be able to read as many books as I do without them. Thanks for the giveaway!
Kitty says
Same! I just don’t have the time to sit still and read.
Brooke says
Hello hello! I follow you on your blog, Facebook, email and books & bites. I like audiobooks. Thanks for the chance to win!
Kitty says
Thanks, Brooke!
AlexD. says
Hi! I follow you through Facebook, your blog, email, and your book releases on goodreads and Amazon:)
I listen to audiobooks on road trips and on occasional afternoon traffic sessions- it is calming.
Thanks for the giveaway and good luck to everyone!
Xx
Kitty says
Thanks, Alex!
Bette H says
Happily followed on Bookbub, Goodreads, Book and Mainbites, Twitter (BetteH9), liked your FB page as well. Signed up for your newsletter & Blob but not sure if went thru, got a gateway error and no email confirmation, will try again latter. BTW saw Hadestown, a musical now on Broadway and loved it, bet your Persephone’s story is a lot hotter, hotter than Hades or is it with Hades. 🙂
Kitty says
LOL you said you followed my BLOB. That’s amazing!
Draimen says
I follow you on Goodreads. didn’t know about this blog till today I’ll try and remember to go here first from now on
Draimen says
forgot to add I listen to audiobooks while receiving medical treatments or in hospital
Kitty says
Thanks! I will have an email subscribe option at the end of posts in a few weeks when my web designer gets to it.
Kitty says
Sorry I’m a day late on the Winners announcement. I’m always caught offguard by just how labor intensive release week is. Like where does the fucking time go? Anyway… the winners… You can email me using the contact form, or I will try to email you using the contact info you provided when you posted on the blog. So hopefully nobody used fake emails here. Please let me know if you need a US or UK audible code:
1. Draimen
2. Jana Leah
3. Claudia Ortega
4. Chanda
5. Karen Kavanagh
Congrats!
